Amazon will not face any penalties from the Labor Department over last year’s Illinois warehouse collapse. A tornado tore through Edwardsville, Illinois, in December and caused the warehouse’s roof to collapse and its walls to fall inward. Six workers were killed. OSHA said the “minimal safety guidelines for storm sheltering” were met by Amazon’s severe weather emergency plans. However, the Labor Department did order the online retailer to review its response plans.
