Pedestrian Hit And Killed By Metra Train In Mokena

A Palos Heights woman was struck and killed by a Metra train in Mokena on Valentine’s Day according to the Will County Coroner’s Office.
Twenty-three year old Kathryn M. Joost of Palos Heights was pronounced dead at 5:15 p.m. on Feb 14 at Hickory Creek Mokena Train Station in 94-hundred of Hickory Creek Drive in Mokena. Final cause and manner of death is pending following an autopsy.
