Report: Chicago’s Top Cop Expected To Announce Retirement This Week

Chicago’s top cop is expected to announce his retirement this week. The Chicago Tribune reports Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson will announce he is stepping down at the same time the city Inspector General is investigating an incident last month in which Johnson was found asleep in his vehicle near his home. ABC 7 reports Mayor Lightfoot is already searching for his replacement.
