Western Illinois University Student Shot In Residence Hall

A student is hospitalized after being shot at Thompson Hall at Western Illinois University in Macomb. The shooting happened at the residence hall last night. University officials say the fire alarm was pulled, and the building was evacuated. Authorities are still searching for the 18-year-old suspected shooter, Kevin Poplous. Classes at both the Macomb and Moline campuses are canceled today. The victim’s condition isn’t known.
