Drivers should plan on slippery roads later today in Chicagoland. The National Weather Service says snow, freezing rain, and sleet is expected to fall this afternoon. A winter weather advisory is in effect from noon until six p.m. People are urged to slow down and use caution while driving during the evening commute.  The temperature will rise by 15 degrees from 9 this morning to 6 tonight.

For today,  snow and freezing rain, possibly mixed with sleet from noon – 6pm, then becoming all rain.  High near 35. Rain changing to snow after midnight…Accumulations less than 1/2″. Low around 26.

Thursday: A chance for snow snowshowers. Partly sunny, with a high near 23 and an overnight love of -2.
